Experiment Sharing: Welso's Fully Automated Sample Grinding Instrument Perfectly Processes Wool Samples
Release:WelsoDate:2025-11-25

In textile industry quality inspection, scientific research, and forensic identification, wool sample composition analysis is crucial. Traditional wool pretreatment methods are inefficient, prone to cross-contamination, and sample heating can lead to target analyte degradation and uneven particle size, severely affecting the accuracy of subsequent testing.

To solve this technical challenge, Welso has launched a low-temperature wool sample pulverization solution combining a fully automated sample grinding instrument with liquid nitrogen instantaneous freezing technology. This solution provides efficient and stable pretreatment for accurate wool composition analysis, significantly improving the efficiency and quality of testing in various fields.

Core Advantages of Using the Fully Automated Grinding Instrument

High Efficiency and High Throughput: Single-batch grinding takes only 2-3 minutes, far exceeding traditional manual operations. The instrument supports simultaneous processing of multiple samples, significantly improving experimental efficiency.

More Thorough Grinding: Liquid nitrogen freezing transforms wool fibers from a "flexible" to a "brittle" state, combined with high-frequency impact grinding, easily achieving uniform pulverization and avoiding fiber agglomeration.

Cryogenic Sample Protection: The liquid nitrogen freezing environment effectively prevents protein denaturation, DNA degradation, and loss of volatile components in wool, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.

Experimental Procedure:

Prepare Equipment: One fully automatic sample grinder, one 50ml steel can adapter, one 18mm stainless steel grinding bead, and pretreated wool samples.

Sample Loading: Place the wool sample and grinding bead into the 50ml grinding can, and tighten the lid to ensure a seal.

Freezing: Completely immerse the sealed grinding can in liquid nitrogen for 10 minutes, ensuring the liquid nitrogen always covers the can.

Installation: Accurately place the frozen grinding can into the compatible steel can adapter, ensuring a secure installation.

Grinding Start: Set the instrument frequency to 60Hz and the grinding time to 60 seconds (adjustable as needed), and start the program to complete the grinding.

Experimental Results:

After one minute of grinding, the wool sample was completely ground, with excellent results. Two samples can be processed at once, avoiding the fineness issues associated with traditional sample shearing, while saving significant time and labor. Wool samples are highly temperature-sensitive; even slight temperature increases can cause sample deterioration. After multiple comparisons, the Welso fully automated grinder was ultimately chosen as an alternative to manual processing due to its high efficiency and effectiveness.

Precautions:

* The instrument should be placed in a dry, well-ventilated environment.

* When using liquid nitrogen, take precautions to avoid frostbite.

* Before grinding, secure the adapter, tighten the positioning screw, and ensure the safety lock is engaged.

* Samples should be placed as symmetrically as possible to ensure balanced forces during grinding.

* After grinding, turn off the power and return the safety lock to its original position.

* Clean the adapter regularly to prevent corrosion from residual chemicals or samples.

Introduction to the Welso Fully Automated Sample Grinder:

The Welso fully automated grinder is a highly efficient, multifunctional biological sample processing instrument integrating grinding, lysis, and homogenization. Through high-speed vertical and horizontal vibrations, combined with the impact of grinding beads (such as glass beads, ceramic beads, and steel beads), it achieves rapid grinding, lysis, and homogenization of samples.

This instrument can process up to 384 samples simultaneously and is suitable for grinding and cell disruption of various soft and hard samples, including animal, plant, and microbial samples. Its efficient three-dimensional oscillation mode and enhanced motion axis design enable it to complete sample processing in a very short time, ensuring the uniformity and stability of the sample, making it an excellent solution for scientific research experiments and industrial applications.
